The weapons expert Mark Steele is not a weapons expert September 25th, 1993 Man accused of wounding. Fitter and part time door man Mark Steele, 32 appeared in court yesterday accused of shooting, Nicola Lumsden. Steele of percy Gardens, Dunston, Gateshead appeared before Houghton la -spring magistrates wearing a grey sweat shirt and hand cuffed to a police officer. Steele was charged that on Sunday night he unlawfully wounded Nicola Lumsden, 19, of essex drive, concord, Washington, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Janice Bellamy, prosecuting, said miss Lumsden was shot in the head outside red skins pub in Washington. Brad stephens, for steel made no bail applications. Steele was remanded in custody until October 14th. Miss Lumsden is critically ill in Newcastle general hospital
