Plot
Storyline
After a reactor leak, Gill is the only surviving member of the spaceship "Galatea", an exploration ship landed on a planet inhabited by a humanoid species. Gill uploads his personality to the ship's AI, wich in the decades following his death must capture a local sentient being and implant in him Gill's personality and the will to furfil a Task: to return to Earth.
A research spacecraft lands on an alien planet, where the crew study a group of primitive humanoids living there until one of their reactor fails. Most of them die in the explosion, the survivors slowly dyeing due to radiation. The last surviving researcher uses memory transfer on a few inhabitants, to make them return the spacecraft to Earth with valuable knowledge about the planet. But in addition to knowledge, feelings are transferred to primitive people, which leads to betrayals and murders on the way back.
