Both Connie and Will face financial hurdles, where they are hoping a success Christmas season will give them the money they need. They face another potential hurdle in reaching their financial goals when they learn that a Roy's Toys mega store, owned by cutthroat Roy Barnes will be opening in the town just in time for the Christmas season. Will suggests to Connie that they join forces in order to run Roy Barnes out of town.
