Alaska Seas (1954) DVDRip Oldies

A remake of the classic adventure film "Spawn of the North" (1938). Shortly following his release from prison, Matt Kelly flees with his boat without paying outstanding storage fees. Kelly returns to his hometown, and he is soon hired by his old buddy Jim Kimmerly. Kimmerly is the current head of a canning co-operative established by the town's salmon fishermen. The fishermen have an ongoing conflict with a gang which is robbing the fishing traps. Kelly is cash-strapped and covertly joins the gang in hopes of extra pay. While Jim remains unaware of his pal's duplicity, Kelly starts to fall for Nicki Jackson, Jim's fiancee.
