The previously inseparable Nikolai, Ralf and Timo have been split up by the fact that Nikolai has spent a few years at the state's expense. When he gets probation, he turns his back on his former criminal life and starts as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten. When Ralf and Timo - against all odds - succeed in a coup, they no longer need their old friend.
