The previously inseparable Nikolai, Ralf and Timo have been split up by the fact that Nikolai has spent a few years at the state's expense. When he gets probation, he turns his back on his former criminal life and starts as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten. When Ralf and Timo - against all odds - succeed in a coup, they no longer need their old friend. But after Nikolai is refused a loan for a new apartment, he manages to persuade Ralf and Timo to put their cash proceeds from the coup as collateral for the apartment. But when the bank manager cheats them and takes the money himself, the three have to find together again, get revenge on the bank robber and get the money back.
