Plot
Storyline
James Bond is sent to investigate a KGB policy to kill all enemy spies, and uncovers an arms deal that potentially has major global ramifications.
Sent to Czechoslovakia to assist in the defection of renegade Soviet General Georgi Koskov, MI6 agent James Bond finds himself dragged into a dangerous conspiracy involving Kara Milovy, a charming blonde cellist. And as a secret KGB directive threatens to undermine relations between Moscow and the West, Bond suspects the Russians are in league with a traitorous arms dealer interested in making a fortune. As a result, a frenzied, risky mission from Vienna to Tangier and then into war-torn Afghanistan begins.
