Antoine and Olga, a French couple, have been living in a remote village in Galicia for some time. They have a truly noble, charitable goal: they want to sustainably renovate the many abandoned houses in the dilapidated Spanish village so that new generations can soon make a living from ecotourism there, and also practice environmentally sustainable agriculture. They have invested all their savings in this endeavor. The rest of the village - just nine families - has little interest in this. The long-time residents want to sell their land to a Norwegian eco-energy company for the construction of wind turbines. With the quick cash, they could make a clean getaway... But the contract requires the consent of all residents, and Antoine and his wife's refusal stands in the way. Faced with the newcomers' refusal, the Anta brothers - who grew up in the dying village and fear losing their chance to escape their fate: alcohol and gambling addiction - revolt.
