Bad Santa [2003, comedy crime, DVD9]

Once a year, safe-breaker Willie T. Soke, a misanthropic and chronically depressed wreck of a man, wakes up from his annual slumber to team up with Marcus, his ill-tempered partner in crime. Together, they have devised a simple but ingenious plan: Willie poses as a department store Santa, while Marcus acts as his trusted elf helper. This way, the criminal duo has been cracking safes for nearly eight years now. However, nothing lasts forever. After all, Willie's social incompetence and a hawk-eyed mall security chief in Phoenix threaten their foolproof plan. And as if that weren't enough, lonely 8-year-old Thurman Merman has somehow found his way into Soke's black heart. But with the scheme on the verge of falling apart, can Willie afford to get into the Christmas spirit?
