Raghu lost his wife Misha and son during a bank robbery which was committed by Liak and Harman.Harman manages to escape with the money while Liak is jailed for lifetime who tries to escape from jail many a times but fails.Raghu tries to find information about Harman from Liak's girlfriend Jhimli but fails and deserts himself from everyone and starts to live in Badlapur on outskirts of Mumbai.15 years later Liak is diagnosed with cancer in jail and has few months to live.Raghu is then asked by a social worker Shobha to sign a mercy petition so that Liak can spend his remaining months with his mother Raghu declines at first but agrees later when his mother tells him about Harman.Liak is left on parole but is followed by a cop as they wont lead of Harman.
