After traveling the world on her own, Frenchwoman Emmannuelle Prevert, who believes in free love, heads to London to reunite with her husband, Emile Prevert, the French ambassador to England. As such, he allows her an open relationship, almost no man refusing her advances. She is able to open up the mentality of those now within her orbit, including the otherwise prim and proper British household staff. While most men treat their sexual encounters with her solely as a bit of fun, one, thirty-four year old mama's boy milquetoast Theodore Valentine with who she had a mile high encounter on the flight to London, has fallen in love with her and wants to marry her.
