Plot Storyline
A failed suicide attempt leads a heartbroken man to live a life in the wilderness.
A debt-ridden, heartbroken man attempts suicide by jumping off a bridge into Seoul's Han River, only to wash up alive on a small, deserted island (Bamseom) right in the middle of the city. Unable to swim back to shore and unnoticed by the bustling world around him, he gradually adapts to his strange new "castaway" life, finding unexpected freedom from his old troubles. Meanwhile, a reclusive young woman who hasn't left her high-rise apartment in years spots him through her telescope. What begins as voyeuristic curiosity slowly turns into a quirky, heartfelt connection that pulls both of them out of their isolation and gives them a reason to re-engage with life.
