Plot
Storyline
Holden and Banky are comic book artists. Everything's going good for them until they meet Alyssa, also a comic book artist. Holden falls for her, but his hopes are crushed when he finds out she's a lesbian.
Chasing Amy is Kevin Smith's most vulnerable film: a sharp, funny romantic comedy that slowly reveals itself as a story about insecurity, ego, and the limits of understanding. Holden, a comic book artist, falls for Alyssa, a fellow creator whose openness pulls him in completely ~ until her past collides with his need to make sense of her. He loves her. He just keeps trying to turn her into someone he can explain rather than someone he can accept. The result is messy, dated in places, and still painfully honest about the ghosts people bring into love.
