Cast into the merciless open sea alongside his mother by the ruthless King Acrisius of Argos, the newborn Perseus--son of Zeus, King of the Gods--defies his cruel fate and becomes a man of extraordinary purpose. His journey leads him to the prosperous city of Joppa, where the beloved Princess Andromeda, daughter of Queen Cassiopeia, is condemned to marry Calibos, a grotesque monster and mortal son of Thetis, goddess of the sea.
