Plot
Storyline
An ex-convict is trying to make a new life for himself in a new city. But his new life is challenged when his foreboding and charismatic former cell mate arrives in town.
Having found the man of her dreams in the shape of handsome Mervin Farrell, a perfect stranger with more than a few skeletons in his closet, ecstatic Paula decides to tie the knot. As Mervin tries hard to make a living and fit in a tight-knit community in mid-1970s Melbourne, the past comes back to haunt him when his old fresh-out-of-jail mate, James Stewart, a brutal man you don't want to mess with, shows up at his front door.
