Tilly (Anna Bullard), Monica (Annie Hamilton), and Peter (Rory Alexander) recently lost their friend Ali (Grace Binford Sheene) in a car accident caused by one of them. After the funeral, where they face hostility from Ali's uncle Bob (Morten Holst), Monica suggests that Tilly and Peter take some time out at their deceased grandparents' uninhabited country house. Ali's death remains the dominant topic there as well, with the trio trying to cope with their loss in different ways. While guilt-ridden Tilly cannot let go and takes antidepressants, Monica tries to repress her feelings and look ahead. Peter, on the other hand, struggles with his alcohol addiction, which he denies. As signs mount that something is wrong in their vacation home, the friends' grief suddenly fades into the background. It quickly becomes clear that they are not alone there and must fear for their lives.
