Plot
Storyline
After bouncing back from leukemia, 10-year-old Mike is ready to leave the hospital, but his mother never arrives to take him home.
Rascal Mike's bone marrow transplant is curing his cancer, so he looks forward to returning home, but his lush mother still doesn't turn up in children's hospital. By the time she does, social services have disqualified her and juvenile court is to award custody. Mike bonds after a bad start with Vincent, the shy, somewhat spoiled nerd kid of a pilot. Mike is offered a foster home, but deliberately scares off any candidate, even the nicest couple, hoping to return home. A procedural twist changes everything.
