Plot Storyline
John McClane is forced to team up with a young computer hacker, Matt Farrell, to stop a master cyber-terrorist called Thomas Gabriel, who wants to shut down the entire nations computer infrastructure in a mass cyber attack.
It's been twelve years since Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), and NYPD Detective John McClane is completely out of his depth in the digital age. What starts as a routine job to escort a young hacker from New Jersey to Washington, D.C., quickly goes sideways when cyber-terrorists hijack the country's infrastructure. Traffic grids collapse, financial markets crash, and the city completely loses its mind. But John is notorious for refusing to go down without a fight. Now faced with unfair odds, McClane ditches his classic Beretta 92FS for a SIG Sauer P220, knowing that high-tech warfare is no match for raw, old-school grit. With the terrorists owning the network, the villains completely underestimate one tiny detail: People like John McClane die hardest.
