Edwin Boyd 2011

Is a dramatization of the criminal life of Edwin Alonzo Boyd. A WWII veteran, he is unable to support his wife Doreen and their two young children Billy and Carolyn on his Toronto Transit System bus driver salary. As such, he decides to parlay his actor aspirations into portraying a real life bank robber. His crimes garner him some notoriety which just fuels his desire to rob more banks. It isn't until after a short stint in prison that he led what would be known as the Boyd Gang comprised of two he meets in prison and one of their criminal associates. As the leader of the Boyd Gang, he no longer has to hide his identity in his crimes. This life does not unfortunately surprise his father Glover Boyd, a retired police officer who always felt Eddie had an unfocused mentality but who, despite their strained relationship, still loves him as his son. This life also was one that Doreen did not sign up for as she tries to figure out what she will do in she also still loving him.
