Plot
Storyline
Insurance clerk Claire is courted by her client Laurent, a middle-aged veterinarian. He pays her several unannounced visits at the office. She soon harbors a dark suspicion: could Laurent have something to do with the serial killer?
Insurance employee Claire has a new, actually banal case: water damage in a vet's surgery. Claire has to inspect the damage on site. Since then, the slightly older vet Laurent has been using any excuse to pay Claire a visit in her office; and he soon invites her to meetings outside her workplace. Claire agrees, even though Laurent is rather pushy and strange. At the same time, a serial killer is on the loose in Lille and the surrounding area, targeting young women. Claire begins to wonder whether she shouldn't actually suspect Laurent - he has a scalpel, the murder weapon; and he seems to have a strange relationship with women. Or is she just imagining that it could be him? As she has already built up a personal relationship with Laurent, it becomes increasingly difficult for her to trust her instincts. Who is this mysterious Laurent really, and why does Claire want to get close to him?
