Plot
Storyline
Famous writer Alexander is very ill and has little time left to live. He meets a little boy on the street, who is an illegal immigrant from Albania, and goes on a journey with him to take the boy home.
Overcome with silent sadness, knowing that his days are numbered, revered terminally ill author Alexandros abandons his seaside home, having failed to complete Dionysios Solomos' unfinished epic work, 'The Free Besieged'. As the pensive intellectual meanders through the rain-soaked city, lost in a sea of romantic memories filled with lost opportunities and regretful decisions, suddenly, a chance encounter with a young Albanian street urchin paves the way for a long metaphysical journey. But the weary writer is running out of time. Can Alexandros prolong eternity by one day?
