Plot
Storyline
Theo would like to give some hope to his father, Laurent, a lonely alcoholic and disillusioned with life. The opportunity comes when Theo is about to be signed by Arsenal FC.
Northern French schoolboy Theo is his local football (soccer) club's only talent ever. Since his parents divorce, his ambitious mother his custody and constantly bags on his dropout father, Laurent, whom the boy loves despite regular mess-ups at visit days. When a scout from English top club Arsenal is announced, Laurent dreams of accompanying instantly rich and famous Theo to London. So when his height eliminate shim from the Arsenal junior academy, he can't bring himself to prick the dream and has mates help cover up while the whole town celebrates wildly their new hero. Laurent soon realizes he can't actually come along, speaking no English and being a general idiotic screw-up, so Theo works up to coming clean.
