Plot
Storyline
A college student from Cincinnati breaks off his engagement to his wealthy fiancee after falling in love with a girl from Kentucky. She claims to be 20, but he learns she is actually only 16 and already married.
An engineering student becomes bored with his wealthy fiancee, and breaks off the engagement with her when he falls for a mysterious teenager (Ringwald) he meets at a houseparty out in the country. His friends think he's crazy and try to discourage his pursuit of a romance with an uneducated, lower class girl. Ultimately, he realizes that they are not meant to be together.
