Plot Storyline
The story of the Apache chief and his armed resistance to the U.S. Government's subjugation of his people.
On December 5, 1886, Geronimo surrendered to a detachment of US cavalry on the border between Arizona and Mexico. Barely more than 30 men remained of his once proud following. This was preceded by a five-year struggle between the rebellious Apache chief and his white adversaries. Those who were commissioned by the state to hunt down and kill Geronimo were themselves merely the henchmen of a misguided policy. Young Lieutenant Charles Gatewood and his superior, General Crook, are well aware of this-Geronimo's defeat is a bitter victory for them.
