Plot Storyline
Celebrating 200 years of rail, Guy helps to rebuild, and learns to drive, the world's most important train for a recreation of the journey that changed history: the Stockton to Darlington Railway
We meet Guy at the 'Locomotion' railway museum at Shildon, County Durham, England. To celebrate 200 years of the railways, Guy will help to rebuild the 'Locomotion No.1' steam train. He will learn about the impact of the industrial revolution from the horse-drawn canal barges, to the invention of steam travel. He will also look at it successor in the form of diesel trains and meets 'Francis the Train Guy' with his great enthusiasm. Guy will have to learn to drive a steam train before he is set loose on the world's most important train. This will be a recreation of the journey that changed history of travel, the 'Stockton to Darlington Railway'.
