Harenchi Gakuen (1970-71, DVD-rip)
  • Release year: 1971
  • Runtime: 83 minutes
  • Country: Japan
  • Keywords: based on comic
Plot:
This film, as well as the other three in this live action franchise, is only available in Japanese. It is a product of its time. Its ostensibly about a school in Japan that the students have re-taken from what looks to be like a sadistic taskmaster, but are then met from another group that threatens to re-take the school. Like the other three, this film has a lot of skirt (and, also in this case, kimono) lifting, as well as other assorted scenes of mayhem. Jo Shishido is in this, but the original lead student Miyumi Kozima, isn't and she is missed, as she was a natural leader in the films and made even the silliest moments seem more fun. If you like Benny Hill for Japanese teens, this film is for you but it is not as cohesive as the first three films. Its available separately, or as a box set with the other films. As an individual film, its not per se recommended, but as a series its fun.
