Storyline
During the German invasion of Crete, a unit of the Greek army, with heroic efforts, manages to transport its country's gold to Egypt.
May 1941. After the fall of mainland Greece and shortly before the invasion of the German Army in Athens, the audacious first-year cadet of the Greek Army, Nikiforos Kallergis, is entrusted with transferring the gold of the National Bank of Greece to a safe place in Egypt. However, during his first stop at his homeland of Crete, he faces the invading Germans, who have commenced their attack. Now, it's up to Nikiforos' brave father, Captain Manousos, to guide the men through the rugged terrain of Mount Psiloritis to their rendezvous point with the crew of a Greek destroyer waiting for them at the Southern part of the island, but there's a spy in their midst. Will they succeed in their mission?
