Georges' (Gerard Depardieu) life seems to have come to a kind of standstill. Although he is a respected actor and can largely organize his life as he wishes, he is not happy. Ever since his wife left him with their son, he has felt lost in his huge villa. No wonder, his bodyguard Lalou (Steve Tientcheu) is a central figure in his everyday life. But Lalou has to go away for several weeks and organizes a replacement. After all, someone has to make sure that Georges keeps his schedule under control - and that he finally manages to get himself to take a fencing course, which he needs for his next role in a historical film. Georges is initially skeptical when Aissa (Deborah Lukumuena) turns up on his doorstep one morning. Aissa and Georges could hardly be more different. While he uses one of his many rooms for an aquarium with deep-sea fish, Aissa barely scrapes together enough money to live in a council apartment. But the two have one thing in common: Aissa, like Georges, is plagued by loneliness. Although she has her passion - wrestling - she has no illusions that she will remain an amateur. And in love, too, she has only ever been disappointed. When Aissa discovers his vulnerability behind Georges' grumpiness and he discovers her enormous power behind Aissa's overly professional demeanor, the two discover what a good team they make.
