Single mother Marion is amazed when she sees her 78-year-old neighbor Huguette camping out in front of the house in her late husband's car. How could it have come to this? It soon becomes clear that the pensioner's flat has been evicted due to her high rent debts and she has no one to stay with. What's more, the proud and stubborn elderly lady would rather fend for herself on the street than ask for help. But when Marion learns that Huguette used to be a teacher, the two women negotiate a deal. The night nurse urgently needs help with her rebellious son Remi. He has been skipping school behind her back for months and is now supposed to switch to a pre-vocational programme. A nightmare for Marion. She is convinced that Remi will only have a chance in the world of work if he gets a higher qualification. So Huguette is now supposed to move in with Marion temporarily and help Remi improve his grades over the next few weeks so that he can be transferred to the upper secondary school. In theory, this is an agreement that benefits everyone. But only in theory. Because Remi is not at all happy with Huguette's new 24-hour surveillance. What's more, he is not interested in grammar school at all, as he would much rather train as a computer scientist. But his mum doesn't want to hear about it. So while Huguette does everything she can to get Remi to study, she has to realize that she no longer wants a landlord at her age and that the waiting time for a council flat is longer than her life expectancy. What should she do? The clock is ticking and all signs point to a confrontation between her and Remi. Or will the three generations still manage to listen to and learn from each other?
