Plot
Storyline
Three girls are on a hitchhiking trip through northern Italy, the riviera, Venice, Pisa and Rome.
Margaret, a young Englishwoman touring Italy on her brand-new MG, offers Hilde and Josette, a pair of globe-trotting backpackers from Germany and France, a lift. As one thing leads to another, their impromptu road trip through picturesque Italy begins in Portofino on the sunny Italian Riviera. The three ladies then travel to the iconic city of Venice, followed by Bologna, the historic capital of the Emilia-Romagna region. Next on their journey is Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in Tuscany. In Eternal Rome, however, is where the girls' unpredictable summer adventure truly comes to life.
