Plot Storyline
An aging, world-weary gangster is double-crossed and forced out of retirement when his best friend is kidnapped and their stash of eight stolen gold bars demanded as ransom.
Long partnered, Max and Riton are Paris gangsters nearing the end of their careers due to age whether they realize it or not. Their latest job was stealing FRF50 million worth of gold bars. Between the two, Max has always been the unofficial leader in Riton's mistaken belief that bravura and bravery equate to smarts. It is that bravura that gets them into trouble in Angelo, a younger rival gangster, discovering that they were the ones that pulled off the gold heist, his goal now to get Max and/or Riton to divulge where they've hidden the bars. While Max is more aware of his surroundings and thus is able to elude Angelo, Riton is the one who is captured by Angelo, who, in negotiating with Max, will trade Riton's life for the gold bars.
