Plot
Storyline
During her summer visit to her grandmother's village in Central Anatolia, Reyhan faces a dilemma. Having just experienced her first period, she struggles with the implications for her religious practices in the conservative community.
Kabahat is about 13-year-old Reyhan, who has just had her first menstrual period; and consequently has to navigate through all the stigma and shame attached to menstruation by many communities. The film revolves around Reyhan's interactions with the four women in her life, coupled with her experiences that summer.
