Following the events of The Karate Kid (1984), the undisputed Karate Champion, Daniel LaRusso, is resting on his laurels. However, after receiving an urgent letter, Daniel and his mentor, Mr Miyagi, return to the sensei's hometown in humid Okinawa to tie up some loose ends. But a lot can change in a year, let alone several decades of absence. Now, Miyagi's childhood friend is an embittered enemy waiting for an opportunity to settle an old score. It seems that some people can't let go of the past, and to make matters worse, Sato's cruel martial arts nephew, Chozen, thirsts to continue the feud. Left with no choice but to fight for love and honour, LaRusso must put his skills to good use in an ultimate no-holds-barred confrontation. After all, isn't love worth fighting for?
