Plot
Storyline
KIDNEP tells the story of the unexpected relationship between kidnapper Fred (Martin van Waardenberg) and rich kid Bo (Teun Stokkel). What at first seems to be a thrilling kidnap, later turns into a crazy adventure during which Fred and Bo build a special friendship. A moving story for all ages by director Diederik Ebbinge (Matterhorn).
Dutch silver spoon schoolboy Bo is emotionally neglected by his workaholic parents. Returning home on holiday from his Swiss private boarding school, he is kidnapped for ransom by Fred, a softy loser, who left his own family behind. but kind-natured. Travelling to Bo's parental villa, the two lonely males start bonding knavishly, almost partners in crime. As they become friends, Fred drops his ransom demand, but Bo decides that the man who takes better care of him then his own folks deserves a reward, no prosecution, and achieves a holiday arrangement accommodating everyone.
