Plot
Storyline
In 1930s Korea, a girl is hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress who lives a secluded life on a countryside estate. But the maid has a secret: She is a pickpocket recruited by a swindler to help seduce the Lady and steal her fortune.
1930s Korea under Japanese rule. Doomed to marry her despotic uncle, fragile Japanese heiress Lady Hideko is a triste bird in a gilded cage. But the unprotected aristocrat has already caught the attention of Count Fujiwara, a duplicitous man with a foolproof plan to get his hands on the lady's inheritance. As a result, the unscrupulous lord hires a dexterous young pickpocket to act as the new housekeeper. This way, the count can talk the sad-eyed dame into marrying him instead and put a more sinister plan in motion. However, they are no match for the raven-haired lady's unparalleled beauty. Can mighty love stand in the way of the handmaiden?
