Marie Coleby is a celebrated actress living in a secluded beach-side home on the Australian coast, where she employs Graham Mason as her handyman and gardener. Graham harbors an obsessive fixation on Marie, who remains oblivious to, or dismissive of, his increasingly unstable behavior. When Marie's taunts push Graham past a breaking point, violence erupts, and Marie's life ends in a brutal confrontation. Shortly after, Marie's younger sister Jenny arrives at the property for a planned visit, unaware of what has transpired. Graham, attempting to maintain the facade that everything is normal, tells Jenny that Marie has gone away. As Jenny settles in for the night, she begins to sense something is terribly wrong. The house, meant to be a refuge, becomes a trap as Graham's intentions turn toward her, and Jenny must use her wits to survive an escalating threat from a man who has already killed and has nothing left to lose.
