Plot
Storyline
A group of urban explorers venture to a quiet lake in upstate Maine that is home to a deadly and forgotten secret. Unfortunately for them, they quickly discover they're not alone and encounter a deadly threat that can kill them all.
The environmentalist Sam and his crew, composed by his girlfriend Jade, her sister Alice, the hacker Billy and the pothead Spencer break in a company that deplete the planet to stick their banner on the exterior wall. They decide that this is their last mission, but Sam receives a message from his former partner and now his competitor, Dane, challenging him to go to Lake Placid since there is a secret there that is worth 100,000 dollars. Sam accepts the challenge and hires the locals Pennie and Travis to drive them to Lake Placid. They disregard the warnings and cross the lake in an inflatable boat to the island. Soon they find Dane's camping destroyed, his camera with two footages and the body of Dane's friend Gomez on the top of a tree. They try to return to the continent, but Travis and his boat are attacked by a huge creature that bites Pennie's leg, and they are stranded in the island. What is the secret of Lake Placid?
