Paro belongs to a wealthy family in village whose household has always kept distance from Tamasha troupes,village also has greedy landlord Bajirao Jagdale who considers money as the biggest power.Paro saves Chameli from clutches of Bajirao when he tires to molest her Chameli's mother Vithabai is a famous Tamasha dancer who wants Chameli to complete her education and stay away from her profession.Paro and Chameli become good friends and don't let their status come in their friendship.Vithabai wants meets with an accident during while returning from her performance which leaves her bedridden her group members want her Chameli to lead the troupe but she decides to get married to someone rather then being part of the troupe.But Chameli finds that men just lust behind her beauty including Bajirao and also feels the same for Gautam who dearly loves her after death of Vithabai she joins the troupe and becomes as famous as her mother and meets an admirer Jaiwantrao not knowing he is husband of her friend Paro.
