After the British filmmaker Owen Flemming returns to Dinard to present his latest film at the British Film Festival, his body is found in the water. With the reporter Pierrot Le Foll's assistance, Captain Elise Vignon is in charge of the investigation of this case, which appears to be linked to a shipwreck 20 years earlier, during which Owen's older sister Lola Flemming lost her life. Elise's older sister Gaelle Vignon was also on that boat. During the sail Gaelle told Lola she was raped by the boat owner Herve Riou and was pregnant. Their conversation was recorded in a video, which afterwards was retrieved by Owen. When Owen threatened Herve's wife Sandrine Riou with exposing the rape story to the public, she lost control and killed him. After the investigators find out what's in the video, they question Herve. Yet actually Gaelle was Herve's mistress. When he wanted to break up with her, she was devastated and made up the rape story. Now Gaelle accidentally finds out Herve and Sandrine's adopted daughter Solene Riou is in fact her given away child. In order to keep Solene to herself, Sandrine attempts to kill Gaelle. The investigators arrive in time to stop her. She is arrested.
