Plot Storyline
In 1970s Athens a group of professional burglars plans an emerald heist from the home of a gem collector, but corrupt Greek police inspector Abel Zacharia is on their trail.
Azad leads a criminal gang of thieves consisting of Ralph, Renzi, and Helene, who has known Azad since she was a child, the two who are now in a somewhat casual but somewhat serious relationship. They are currently in Athens on a high tech job to steal $1 million worth of emeralds from Tasco. While the job doesn't quite go off as planned, they are still able to escape from the scene with the jewels, they believe undetected. The second half of their plan also does not happen as they want, to leave Athens immediately via merchant ship, that exit now being delayed by five days. In the interim, they decide that it would be best if they had no direct physical contact with each other. What happens with their getaway is affected by Azad meeting two people: Lena, a beautiful blonde model who may replace Helene as the object of his affections; and Police Inspector Abel Zacharia, who was the person that added the unwanted wrinkle to the actual heist. Zacharia is aware that Azad stole the emeralds, and believing that working for his own interest while still being under the veil of being a police officer is to his best benefit, will not let them get away without him getting the emeralds.
