Plot
Storyline
Environmental scientist exposes oil company's drilling causing Greenland ice melt. Journeying Arctic, he witnesses impending catastrophe. Back home, a glacier collapse triggers extreme weather events, plummeting global temperatures.
In 2020, the resources of energy are scarce, and the Halo Oil Co. is exploring oil in Greenland. The environmental scientist Thom Archer from the Global Alliance, and his partner Ben Jameson find evidence that the Halo is damaging the underground of Greenland. He goes to a meeting of Global Alliance and Halo to ask to stop the drilling in Artic since there is the risk of a new Ice Age on Earth. However, Halo's owner Anthony Kavanagh and his efficient lawyer Sarah Fitch discredit his research and Halo's contract is renewed. Thom resigns from the Alliance and decides to travel to the United Kingdom with his wife Jacqueline and their teenage daughter Milly to the house of his father Stephan to celebrate Milly's birthday. But Ben calls Thom, saying that he has found irrefutable evidence of the damage caused by Halo. Thom travels to Halo's mobile drilling platform with Sarah and they soon witness the damage caused to the ice. Soon Earth has a new Ice Age, and Thom wants to meet his family in UK, and Sarah teams up with him in the journey.
