In the late Middle Age's Italy, Leonardo "Leo" Da Vinci is a teenager who loves to invent advanced machines. He lives happily with his best friend Lorenzo and the beautiful Lisa, being secretly in love with her. While testing the first diving suit in a lake, tragedy appears when Lisa realizes that her father's barn and crops have been consumed by a fire. The noble who owns the lands threatens Lisa's father that if he doesn't pay off all his debts he will foreclose unless Lisa marries his stupid son the marquis. Trying to save her, Leo Da Vinci decides travel to Florence to earn money and pay the debt with help of Lorenzo. Unable to keep the secret, Lorenzo reveals Lisa Leo's plans, and Lisa joins her friends to travel to the big city, where they meet a storyteller who explains the story of a sunken pirate ship with a great treasure inside it. Believing it as a true event, Leo buys the treasure map, but it's stolen by a thieving orphan girl called Agnes. Making a deal with her, Leo recovers the map and Agnes joins the group at the same time that Niccolo, a youthful lover of science and astronomy who makes friends with Lisa. All five arrive on Montecristo Island looking for the treasure, not knowing that pirates follow each step they make, waiting the right time to steal the treasure and eliminate Leo and his friends.
