Plot Storyline
A film about the Canadians who participated in the Spanish Civil War.
In the 1930's, hundreds of idealistic youths, many of them Canadian, acted on their resolve for a more just world in a most direct way. This was done by volunteering in the International Brigades to fight in the Spanish Civil War against the Nationalist forces lead by Francisco Franco and supported by Nazi Germany. This film tells their story in that war and the consequences they faced for their decision.
