After journalist Mary Landers is assigned to write a Valentine's Day story about "The Meaning of Love," her long-time boyfriend breaks up with her, leaving her feeling that her life is boring and predictable. Riding the crowded train home, she locks eyes with photojournalist James Fielding, but before they can speak, he exits and accidentally leaves his phone behind. Finding that phone changes Mary's life and she discovers through James that life is an adventure, never knowing where it might lead.
