Plot
Storyline
An unemployed Mancunian vents his rage on unsuspecting strangers as he embarks on a nocturnal London odyssey.
Penniless Johnny is a well-read layabout who has the need to hurt others, both emotionally and physically, and both with his words and actions, especially toward women. He is angry at the world and angry at others for not being angry like him. With only a small duffel bag with his worldly possessions, he has just arrived in London from his hometown of Manchester in a need to have left there quickly. With nowhere else to go, he ends up on the doorstep of former girlfriend, white collar clerk Louise, and her present unemployed roommate Sophie, a doormat of a woman in being emotionally needy, with their third roommate and the leaseholder, Sandra, a nurse, away on vacation in Zimbabwe. Bored with Sophie's neediness by the end of the second day, Johnny decides to leave to wander the streets. In the process, he gets into one encounter after another, the results of which are largely by Johnny being Johnny. Johnny, Louise, and Sophie's encounters are further affected by the unexpected arrival of two more at the flat, persnickety Sandra who has come home early, and their yuppie misogynist landlord Jeremy, a serial rapist who only Sandra had dealt with previously.
