- Short biography: Faryn Pearl is a director, writer, and story artist for animation. Raised in New Jersey, her world was changed when she discovered the role of storyboard artist. It was a cross section of her three favorite things: writing, drawing, and acting. She pursued it feverishly, and thanks to a mix of hard work, luck, and a medically concerning amount of sweat, got her first storyboarding job. For the past decade she flourished as a board-driven story artist for both TV and feature. Recently, she achieved a truly bonkers accomplishment: co-directing her first theatrical feature film, Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken. She feels extraordinarily proud that she was able to bring her signature sense of humor, eye for characters, passion for clear, effective storytelling to the movie. She is currently directing the first DreamWorks Animation CGI/Live Action film, Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie with Kirk DeMicco and Ryan Crego.
