- Short biography: Nadia Menco was born in Cartagena, Colombia. She works as an actress, filmmaker, artist, and writer. Her artworks, performances and short films have been exhibited in Chile, United States, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Colombia, India and France. She started acting in theatre when she was 16 years old with her identical twin sister Tania Menco. She moved to Chile where she studied human figure drawing with the Chilean artist Carmen Silva. She lived in New York City, where she studied in City College of New York and performed with her theatre group YorkVille in off Broadway theaters. She collaborated with other New York artists and wrote poetry, plays, and created paintings. She co-directed and produced Pink Dolphin, a short film, with Lucie Tripon. This film was shot in the Amazon Rainforest and includes natural actors from native tribes. Pink Dolphin was part of Cannes Court Metrage 2015 (no competition) and an official selection in SR Film Festival 2015. She directed her first feature film, Ode to Paz, that was selected at the Lift-Off Filmmaker Session 2019, Los Angeles CineFest 2018 and Seedlings Film Festival 2023. She is married with Joshua Hathaway.
