- Short biography: Patrick M. Lydon (b. 1981) is an American ecological artist, filmmaker, and author. Born in Silicon Valley, he spent his early years in two worlds, one as a writer for the technology industry, and the other as an artist and eventually Arts Commissioner for the city of San Jose. In 2010, disenfranchised by the direction of tech culture, he began moving between East Asia and Scotland, living as a nomad and studying art and ecological cultures, eventually earning an MFA from The University of Edinburgh while producing the film "Final Straw: Food, Earth, Happiness." He has produced film and sound based artworks for the Setouchi International Triennale, Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, Glasgow Center for Contemporary Art, Yamaguchi Institute of Contemporary Art, and Kagawa Yamanami Festival, among others. He is the founder of City as Nature art and media lab, and arts editor for The Nature of Cities (New York). He is married to Korean photographer and herbalist Suhee Kang, with whom he often collaborates. They live in Osaka, Japan and Seoul, Korea.
