- Short biography: Born on 4th May 1977 at Kolkata, Rajib Chowdhury was bitten by the film-bug, right from his childhood. A cricket enthusiast right from his formative years, Rajib went on to play for his school and college teams. But things went for a huge upheaval once Rajib joined Ramoji Rao Group at Hyderabad after completing BBM and MBA. Trained by cine-legends as Rekha, Girish Karnad, Rajib could see the world of silver screen unfolding tangibly in front of him. And that day came when Rajib distributed his maiden feature film "Tujhe Meri Kasam", the debut vehicle of Ritiesh Desmukh and Genelia. Since then Rajib has distributed more than 250 feature length films, served as a line producer and executive producer of at least a dozen films! He distributed most of Sandip Ray's films and served as his assistant director in a couple of flicks. Post his stint at Ramoji Group, Rajib joined Inox as Regional Manager - Distribution (East). Later Rajib served as the Business Head of Techno India Films Division. Rajib was instrumental in bringing Eros International to Bengal Industry and served as the executive producer of Sandip Ray's " Monchora" and "Double Feluda". In 2016, Rajib turned a full fledged filmmaker with " Romantic Noy" in 2016 which later won several accolades at the film festival circuit. In 2018, Rajib directed his second Bengali feature film, "Kaya: The Mystery Unfolds" which ran successfully at theaters for more than 150 days. Rajib is busy co-writing his third feature film nowadays.
