- Short biography: Renji Philip is an award-winning writer, director, and producer. A Colorado native who grew up fly-fishing the Rocky Mountains, he holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Miami and an MFA in Writing from Lindenwood University. He studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York and, as a scholarship student for four years with Howard Fine and visiting teacher Uta Hagen in Los Angeles. His acclaimed film The Wake of Light-which he wrote, directed, and produced-won 24 awards, was featured on Greg Laemmle's list of favorite films, and was distributed in over 75 countries, and qualified for the 93rd Academy Awards. He's passionate about stories about underdog characters pushed to their breaking point-and what they do next.
